When is the best time to book a newborn photo shoot?
BOOK NOW! I only take on a certain amount of mum's due dates per month and I book out fast! Basically the way it works with a newborn shoot is if you are interested in booking a photoshoot for when bubs is born you provide me with your due date so I can put it in my calendar. Once baby is born you need to contact me with 48 hours so we can book in a time within the first 2-3 weeks or so of birth so you can get all the gorgeous sleepy photos I usually leave spots available for newborns as I have so many ladies due dates in my calendar. If you do not book in prior to having your baby then it can be unlikely I will be able to do newborn photos for you so its best to book in early.
How long will it take to get my photos are the shoot?
Editing can usually takes 1-2 Weeks, but also depends on the level of demand at the time.
Once the shoot is over, I will go through the images, give them a minor edit and then upload a private online gallery for you to view in your own time. This will usually be received within 1 week. Once you select your images from the gallery, I will give them a full and final edit, this can take up to 2 weeks from selection. If you have ordered products as well, it can take a little longer.
How do I book a Newborn Shoot?
We all know babies make their appearance on their own time so don't worry if bub is early or late.If you are interested in booking a photo shoot for when bubs is born you will provide me with your estimated due date. Once baby has arrived you need to contact me with 48 hours so we can book in a time within the first 3 weeks of birth.
What is involved in a Newborn Photo Shoot?
Sessions take between 2-4 hours depending on how baby feels on the day, and which package you have selected. I provide all props for your newborn session including, Hard props such as buckets, baskets etc, Headbands, Hats and more. So Parents can sit back & relax whilst I work my magic and create some amazing images for you.
What is involved in a Maternity Photo Shoot?
Maternity Sessions are best done between 32-36 weeks.
Maternity sessions are done at my studio and session is generally around 1 hour to 1.5 hours. You will arrive with 2 sets of outfits (for both yourself and/or your partner) & we will change as we go along. However I do have a selection of beautiful Maternity Gowns that we can use during your session. Siblings are welcome at no extra charge.
Do you supply outfits for baby portraits?
Yes. I have a range of vintage style outfits for boys and girls aged 4 months to 1 year (and even older for girls). However, if you have something in particular you would like them to wear, you are more than welcome to bring it along!
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit need to be paid to secure your booking. This is however taken off your total, with the remainder of your fee being payable on the day of the shoot.
Will my images be watermarked?
No. Your chosen images will be high resolution and will not be watermarked. They will only appear this way in your gallery.
Can I order products or prints?
Yes! Your online gallery also comes with access to an online store! In this store you can view products with your images on them and play around with personalisations, etc. You can order at your own pace in the comfort of your own home AND everything is shipped directly to you! All printed items are high quality standard prints so no cheap and nasty print kiosk quality.
Can I purchase Additional Images?
Yes, extra images can be purchased, please see price and packages for more information. Prints and product can also be purchased if you wish.
Where is your studio located?
I have a comfortable and cozy in-home studio located in Hillside, Melbourne.
Can I get a free re-shoot if my child is unhappy on the day?
If your child is unhappy during the shoot, I will try my best to get some shots anyway. I have some distraction tools and ways of getting children's attention. In the event that we are unable to get ANY images, we can discuss a re-shoot and try again another day.
Is it an additional fee to add parents and/or Siblings in a Newborn Shoot?
Not necessarily. Parent and Sibling shots are included in the newborn packages, except for the baby-only option.
Can I order products or prints?

Do you come out to us or travel to in-home shoots?
No, unfortunately I do not travel to client's homes for photography sessions at this point.
